Space Alchemy
Your Creative Life starts at Home.

Space Alchemy is the magic that happens when you walk into your home and it feels like a warm embrace.
Or when it feels expansive and spacious even though you’re living in a 400 square foot apartment on a busy street.
It’s the place where imagination gets to come out and play; a place that reflects back to you all the beauty and the magic that you are, like a great conversation with an old friend.
When people visit, they feel like staying – they can feel the creative energy and they want to walk around and look at everything, turn up the music and dance, or settle into a corner and read quietly.

That’s alchemy…
There are no rules to get there and some people just do it naturally, without thinking much about it.
It’s not about paint colors, though you might want a new color on the wall.
It’s not about buying new furniture, though you might be able to afford a new sofa as soon as the kids are old enough not to trash it.
It’s about going on a treasure hunt within your home and yourself, and making beauty out of what delights you.
how it works
1. Treasure Hunting
First, we’ll recover some hidden treasures. Somewhere in a box in the basement is your favorite something – something you packed up in a move long ago. It has patina and memory. It holds a piece of your history, and seeing it stirs a deep dormant part of you.
2. Clues & Curiosity
You’ve been busy dropping all kinds of clues around for years without knowing.
You might think you know nothing about color, but when I walk around your home and see what’s on your bookshelf, I can see how your favorite color shows up in the spine of a book, a postcard you saved, the inside glaze of a bowl. I see a pattern in textures or shapes or the ways in which you organize or arrange things.
And so, I bring my curiosity. I ask questions. I tease out the answers and guide your attention to the beauty that’s already there, waiting for you to notice.
3. Space Alchemy
Then the real fun begins. We’ll let your heart and senses guide us as we shed and shuffle and play.
We’ll see how it feels to move furniture from this wall to that space over there. How this corner can feel cozier, and cozier still.
We’ll dust off parts of yourself that you’ve stuffed at the back of a drawer but are longing to come out and play. We’ll bring together old relics and new curiosities and create little alters of magic, beauty and deep remembrance.
